Doi: 10.4013\/fem.2021.233.02.<\/p>\n<p>Resumen:<\/p>\n<p>Este art\u00edculo analiza los fundamentos y las formas de operar los sistemas autom\u00e1ticos de recomendaci\u00f3n de m\u00fasica en los servicios de transmisi\u00f3n, que est\u00e1n ganando cada vez m\u00e1s importancia en el consumo de medios.\u00a0En la primera parte del texto, se discute la definici\u00f3n del gusto desde tres enfoques diferentes: la filosof\u00eda, la sociolog\u00eda y la neurolog\u00eda.\u00a0Se entiende que la concepci\u00f3n neurol\u00f3gica del gusto marca una importante ruptura con las tradiciones anteriores, siendo adoptada por la industria inform\u00e1tica y estableciendo restricciones a la fruici\u00f3n musical.\u00a0Luego, se discute el funcionamiento de los principales m\u00e9todos de recomendaci\u00f3n autom\u00e1tica, desarrollados con el apoyo de Inteligencia Artificial (IA).\u00a0Finalmente, se plantean interrogantes sobre las posibles consecuencias del uso intensivo de la IA en la distribuci\u00f3n de m\u00fasica a trav\u00e9s de servicios de streaming.<\/p>\n<p>Abstract:<\/p>\n<p>The article discusses the philosophical foundations and the modus operandi of the streaming services automated music recommendation systems which are becoming increasingly important for music consumption. In the first part of the text, we present the definition of taste according to three different intellectual traditions: philosophy, sociology and neurology. The goal is to stress differences between those approaches and to suggest that the neurological approach assumes prominence among digital technology developers. In the second part, we discuss the main automatic recommendation methods, developed with the support of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
